For nearly two months the auction received press coverage and viral awareness online due to the vast array of items up for bid. “We have to sell every single item that’s in the warehouse and leave the room swept. That means no reserve, everything has to go. Then once that warehouse is empty, we’ll start selling goods that are physically here on the property at the hotel,” said Thomas Hayward.
At the first two auctions you could find everything from espresso machines to coffee and end tables, to new carpeting and decorations. In the third and fourth installments you could bid on lamps, ceramic, stone and glass tiles, ballroom chairs, nightclub seating, file cabinets and Christmas decorations, including pre-lit trees.

Although many residents and bidders were sad to see the Siena Hotel Spa Casino closing another chapter in Reno, they were happy and anxious to bid on and take home a small part of town history.
