Thomas Hayward Renews Commonwealth of Virginia Auction License

The celebrity auctioneer Thomas Hayward has renewed his auction license for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Hayward has over 25 years of auction experience, has a national reputation in storage lien auctions and is regularly featured on the Spike TV show Auction Hunters. This auction license for Virginia allows him extend his auction travels further.


An auction license through the Commonwealth of Virginia has to be renewed every two years to remain active. It also requires six hours of continuing education requirements every two year period. To receive an initial license through Virginia, an auctioneer must go through 80 hours of education from a Virginia certified auctioneer’s school and a fully notarized and executed license by examination application after passing the Virginia State Auctioneer’s Examination.
